I found this interesting notice in the May 3, 2007 Atlanta Journal-Constitution's obituary section.

It's a list of icons you can put on your loved one's paid funeral notice.

Note that the icons on the bottom row are all Masonic fraternal organization symbols. It's interesting that 25% of the icons the newspaper offers are related to fraternal organizations: the Shriners' scimitar, the symbol for the Knights of Columbus, the Order of the Eastern Star's downward pointing pentagram/pentacle/star, and the Blue Lodge's square and compasses.

[In an earlier version of this article I incorrectly referred to the Knights of Columbus symbol as the Scottish Rite's double eagle. I don't know if I should apologize to the SR or the K of C.]
