India today said their blog-blocking was a "technological error" caused by their trying to stifle just a handful of blogs, not all of them.The International Herald Tribune reported that the New Delhi government said that "two impertinent pages" contained material with "extremely derogatory references to Islam." They were trying to stave off sectarian violence, an unnamed official told reporters.
"Because of a technological error, the Internet providers went beyond what was expected of them, which in turn resulted in the unfortunate blocking of all blogs," the official said.
"War is peace. Freedom is slavery. We have always been at war with Oceania," the Party spokesman continued.
